How do I submit my fiction, poetry, and essays for publication? What are career opportunities in the world of creative writing? In this panel discussion and Q&A, four celebrated editors talk about founding and guiding renowned literary magazines. They’ll speak on the work of an editor, what they look for in submissions to their literary journals, and creating community among and for writers. Come and learn from ku’ualoha ho’omanawanui (co-founder and Chief Editor of Ōiwi: Native Hawaiian Journal), Keetje Kuipers (Editor-in-Chief of Poetry Northwest), Jyothi Natarajan (Editor-in-Chief of The Margins, the online literary journal of the Asian American Writers’ Workshop), and Erin Stalcup (co-founder of Waxwing and Editor-in-Chief of Defunct). Sponsored by Words@Mānoa and the Department of English at the University of Hawai’i. (Contact Keetje for Zoom address and passcode for this event)
